Adoption Fair
Looking for that special pet? Visit us at the Greensboro PETCO at 4217 West Wendover Avenue each Saturday from 11-4 to meet the animals currently available for adoption. You'll also be able to speak to our volunteers and begin the adoption process when you find your new animal friend.
Are providing to the community a transport
service, for you to have your cats and dogs either spayed or neutered.
The transport will leave from The Animal
Awareness Society’s office, located at 102 Hilliary St in Randleman (behind the
Randleman Police and across from the Richard Petty Museum) every
3rd third Wednesday of the month. The transport will pick
up at 7:30 am and return the
following day at 10:30 am. Together
The Animal Awareness Society and The Spay and West Wendover Spay and Neuter
Clinic hope to reduce the number of unwanted animals in our community by
offering this service to anyone needing to get their animals altered. For more

The volunteers and animals of TAAS wish to thank everyone that came out to help raise funds at our spring yard sale.
We also thank Dr. Kim Sheets for donating her time to help the cats and dogs get there rabies shots. Thank you to all of the pet owners that came to our clinic to have there animals updated rabies, and those that had there animals micro chipped.
RABIES AND HOME AGAIN CLINIC

SPAY DAY EVENT FOR 2008
This years spay day event to celebrate National Spay and Neuter Month was a great success. We want to thank everyone that came out to help the animals. On Saturday February 23rd we had a Bake sale at Pet-Co in both Kernersville and Greensboro. National Spay/Neuter Day was February 26th. Always remember to have all your animals spayed or neutered.

Yard Sale
Please come visit us at our Yard Sale to be held August 25 at the TAAS office at 102 Hilliary Street in Randleman. It is scheduled to begin at 7pm and will last until you can't shop anymore!
4th Annual Plant Sale
TAAS held its Annual Plant Sale at Lowes Foods on New Garden Road in Greensboro on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Hanging baskets, potted plants, Knock-out Roses and bedding plants were supplied by Whitaker Farms of Pleasant Garden. Banner Place Nursery supplied azaleas and rhododendrons.
All Day Fundraiser
Fire Mountain of Asheboro and Sysco Foods donated hot dogs (both two time donors!) to help support The Animal Awareness Society's Hot Dog Supper and All Day Fundraiser on March 31 at the BP in Level Cross beginning at 7:00am. Sophia Support Club also assisted by serving hotdogs, hamburgers, desserts, along with nachos and cheese.
Raffle winners were: Ronnie Tate won the split the post and took home $324 and Nell Lineberry won the Presidential Knife Set.
There were a number of Gospel groups who performed and Dean Carpenter from Zoo Radio in Asheboro was the DJ. The following groups were scheduled to perform: Faith Walkers of Asheboro, Heartfelt of Winston Salem, Good News Gospel Singers of Asheboro, Straight Way Gospel Singers of Greensboro, The New Hope Bluegrass Gospel Singers of Asheboro, and Laymen of Asheboro.
Proceeds of the All Day Fundraiser will go to assist a 73 yr. old sweetheart of a gentleman who has recently had heart surgery, Mickey Gordon, and the animals in rescue by The Animal Awareness Society.
Valentine's Day Party
Our Valentine's Day party with Hospice was a big success. We were able to raise over $2500 to help our cause. We couldn't have done it without your continued support. Thanks also to the companies who generously donated door prizes: Pointe South Animal Hospital, Freeman's Florist, Southeastern Furniture, Colfax Furniture, Carolina Candle Company, Chic-fil-A, Mayflower Seafood, Sir Pizza, Images Salon and Uncle Buck's General Store.
Freedom Quilt Raffle
The winner of our Freedom Quilt Raffle (signed by Richard Petty) on February 14 was Ronnie Tate of Sophia. Congratulations!! And thank you to everyone who participated! TAAS raised almost $800 from this event!
